Good to Know

Frequently asked questions.

πŸ›‚ Do I need a visa for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan?+

Indian passport holders get visa-free entry to Kazakhstan for up to 14 days. Uzbekistan offers a quick e-visa that's typically approved within 2–3 working days. Our team handles the entire application process for you β€” that's what the visa assistance is for.

🌀 What will the weather be like?+

Expect crisp mountain air in Almaty (10–22Β°C by day, cooler at altitude near Big Almaty Lake) and warm, sunny days in Tashkent and Samarkand (25–32Β°C). Evenings in the mountains get cold, so pack layers β€” a warm jacket is essential for Days 2–4.

πŸ’± What currency should I carry?+

Kazakhstan uses the Tenge (KZT) and Uzbekistan the So'm (UZS). Carry USD and exchange locally for the best rates β€” cards are widely accepted in cities, but cash is king at markets and mountain stops. Around $200–300 of personal spending money is comfortable since almost everything is already included.

πŸ“± Will I get a SIM card and internet?+

Yes β€” local tourist SIMs (Beeline/Kcell in Kazakhstan, Ucell/Beeline in Uzbekistan) are cheap and fast, roughly $5–8 for generous data packs. We'll help everyone get set up on Day 1 at the airport, and all our stays have Wi-Fi.

πŸŽ’ What should I pack?+

Layers are everything: t-shirts, a fleece or hoodie, a windproof jacket, comfortable hiking shoes, sneakers for the city, swim shorts, sunglasses, sunscreen and a power bank. One smart-casual outfit for nightlife and the rooftop dinner. Keep it to one backpack plus a cabin bag β€” we move around a lot.

🚌 How do we get around during the trip?+

Rental cars take us everywhere in Kazakhstan β€” mountain roads, canyon runs, city nights. The Kazakhstan-to-Uzbekistan leg is a luxury overnight sleeper bus, and within Uzbekistan we use the high-speed Afrosiyob train, the Tashkent metro and private transfers. Every transfer is pre-arranged and included.

Adventure. β€’ Brotherhood. β€’ Memories.
